The splash pool at the Beach
House offers magnificent views of Chapman's Peak and the sunset set
over
the Atlantic
Ocean.
For those who find the Atlantic Ocean too cold to swim in, the pool is a
perfect to cool down in. Notice the natural rock used to build the pool.
The rock in the center foreground is part of the foot of Table Mountain
and these crops of rock bed have been left untouched on the plot. This picture was taken August 1999. The garden looks different now, for
example the
restio
in the right corner of this picture is now higher
than the wall! This is the only part of the garden with a few plant
species, like lavender and evening primrose that are not indigenous.
The boundary walls of the pool and the property was built in such a way
that the magnificent views are maintained.
The Beach House
also has two outside hot & cold showers. One next to
the pool and one on the beachfront, next to the dune & the beach.
