Ages
of merciless battering by the elements has created a curiously sculpted
wonderland. As the Peninsula's southernmost tip, Cape
Point is the most exposed area of Southern Africa's coast. Through
time the land has been molded and sculpted by elements to form a
fascinating wonderland of weathered rock.
The above picture
demonstrates the beauty and awe of alternating layers of rock. This
picture was taken at the start of the
Cape of Good Hope Hiking
trail.
These rocks are
very smooth and feel powdery to the touch, in contrast to most of the
scarred and rough textured cliffs that make up Cape Maclear and Cape
Point. The weather battening the rocks in a pattern unique to their own
structure.
So also, does life tamper man according to his own structure as one can
only learn those lessons that he is receptive to. |
