Beach, as seen from
Cape
Maclear. This photograph is taken from the top funicular station, the
visitors that can be seen below as at the level of the bottom station.
It demonstrates
the untouched beauty of this isolated beach, which is only accessible by
foot.
The beach is so far
below that one can not see any Beach Comers from the top! This picture is
taken from 816 feet (238 meters) above the beach below, this is the tallest
sea-cliff in Southern Africa, at the very tip of the African continent. Just as it feels
as if one is at the end of the world when you stand at the tip of
Cape
Maclear
at the lighthouse, so it feels as if you are alone on the world when you are on Dias
Beach.
Like many of the other beaches, Dias Beach also offers excellent surf
with a number of different peaks and is never crowded! |
