Lying
on the soft and warm white sand staring at the fynbos with the ocean
calling in the background.
When staying at the Beach House, please
STRICTLY respect the pathway in front of the Beach House and do not randomly walk
over the dune. Fynbos is a treasure to be enjoyed by all and remarkable
for its ability to adapt to the often harsh environment of "The Cape
of Storms". The plants by their very nature and specialized niches
are however often very delicate especially while young and easily trampled
to smithereens
by those who do not notice them. A
good
example
of
this
is
the
Vygies.
Some neighbors and holidaymakers and most
dogs have their own paths and occasionally some passer-by even live on a different
planet. All this is good.
We do however plead with visitors to Sunset
Beach House not to use ANY access other than the path indicated to the Northern
side
(Chapman's
Peak) of the house to and from the beach and to please
not walk ANYWHERE else on the dune in front of the Beach House. When one
meets the
Plovers
that visit the dune and
Oystercatchers
that also breed
on the sand then there is even more reason to be very cautious!
We Thank You. |
