Unlike a canoe the kayak, classically used by the Eskimos, is closed on top and the occupant  remains dry.

No prior experience is required to Kayak. One and two man craft are available. The jagered Peninsula Coast-line provides for endless exciting Kayaking opportunities.

Popular 2 hour exertions are available in Table Bay and Sea Point from the comfort of the Victoria and Alfred Waterfront. The Kayaks can come to you at the Beach House for a 2 or 4 hour exploration of Kommetjie Bay, Slangkop and Noordhoek.

Experienced guides can take you from Simons Town, starting off between the penguins to Cape Point. However the ultimate kayaking experience is from Buffel's Baai in the Cape of Good Hope Reserve, all the way round Cape Point to Olifantsbos. With the view of Cape Point with its steep cliffs from the sea one is reminded why Sir Francis Drake called it the "Fairest Cape in all the World".
