These
beautiful
Gezanias
only
show
their
pretty
faces
when
the
son
shines
and
remain
closed
when
it
is
overcast.
Luckily,
the
son
often
shines
in
winter
when
the
Gezanias
have
most
flowers!
The
path
from
the
front
garden
to
the
dune,
the
Gezanias
can
be
seen
in
the
fore-ground
right
with
Metalasia
bush
on
the
left,
the
Karbonkelberge
and
Houtbay
in
the
background.
Break
out
-
have
a
winter
getaway
and
visit
the
Beach
when
all
is
still
and
quiet.
Although
Kommetjie
compared
to
the
rest
of
the
Cape
Peninsula
is
very
secluded
and
quiet
even
at
the
height
of
the
summer
season,
in
winter
the
beaches
are
deserted
and
serene,
the
whole
of
paradise
to
oneself,
the
air
on
a
warm
winter's
day
is
crisp
and
alive.
Should
a
storm
brew
or
the
winter
rains
come,
relax
in
front
of
the
log
fire.
New
flowers
bloom
after
every
Cape
winter
storm.
